Demetrius Spady-McBride (born July 17, 1988) better known by his stage name MeatSpady is an American rapper, songwriter, philanthropist and entrepreneur born and raised in North Philadelphia. MeatSpady is currently working his way up the ranks and becoming one of the most pleasingly varied artist from the city of Philadelphia. MeatSpady released several mixtapes from 2008-2011 then, abruptly stopped indulging in music to focus on his religious obligations in the practice of Islam. In 2018, MeatSpady reappeared onto the music and social media scene with The Beautiful Letdown, his first release in almost a decade. The mixtape was filled with heavy emotions, verbal visuals, and self-evaluation in its purest form. With deep detailed songs like “Dear Diary”, “Most of Me” and “Things I Cry About”. Not wasting any time, he followed up with the Sthguoht Live album in 2019. From the album titled intro, to the breath of fresh air feelings of “The BeginEnding” MeatSpady delivered an untold story of depression, marital relationships, and fatherhood. 'Perception' was released in November 2021. Leading with the heart wrenching single "Feely" ft HazEL. MeatSpady is turning ripples into waves, making believers out of all listeners. In 2023, MeatSpady landed his first Billboard Charting appearance with his album 'The Same Kind of Different' debuting at #77 on Top Album Sales Charts and also landing himself #46 on the Emerging Artist charts. He would follow up by ending the already historic year with a residency at The Performance Garage in Philadelphia. Becoming the first music artist to perform in the venue and the first independent artist of Philadelphia to have a residency.
